Kassel. fino is proud to have been accepted into the banking association. This means that the Kassel-based fintech company is now part of the select group of associate members of Germany’s largest lobby group for private banks. fino will be actively involved in its membership in order to drive forward new initiatives, for example with regard to regulations.
The Association of German Banks – Bankenverband for short – brings together more than 170 private banks, around 30 extraordinary members such as fintechs, and eleven regional associations. It has represented the interests of private German banks in common matters since 1951.
Björn Sänger, Chief Regulatory Officer at fino, emphasizes: “It is not a matter of course to be accepted as a member of the banking association. That’s why we are all the more pleased that we were able to clear this hurdle. It gives us the opportunity to talk to numerous banks and we can use their feedback to further develop our existing and new products to meet their needs.”
